Official music video for "Little Girl" by The Kingston Springs. Directed by Noel Costill. Cinematography and editing by Austin Lee Boylen.
Kingston Springs is a small town outside of Nashville, Tennessee. None of
the members of the band The Kingston Springs were born there, but they all
ended up there at a very young age. It's going to make a great scene in
the beginning of the movie that I’m sure someone, someday will make about
their life. These little babies in their parent's arms as they travel
from different corners of the country - all four families finding their
way to Kingston Springs - whether it was to be near family or just because
they decided to take a right at Oklahoma. For whatever reason, somehow
these guys ended up in the same town. A town that just happens to have a
name that doubles nicely as the name of a band. And apparently whatever
springs there are in that area spout out magic music water, because that
is the best explanation I can come up with for how four guys only kinda
out of High School can write and record songs (on their own, in a
basement) that sound as though they’ve had years of training and recorded
with a studio and production team.
Oh, you noticed that I said High School up there? Yeah, High School.
Sadly, all of these guys are way too young for every one of us here at
EoU. And we know this for a fact, because immediately after they left we
used the half your age plus seven formula, just to be sure. (Where would
we be without science?) But that is all okay, because even though the
time we spent with them during the photo shoot and the interview was like
being a teenager again in so many ways – from the giggly crushes and the
easily distracted boys, to the snarky jokes and tales of who could party
the hardest - in one important way it was not like the old days. It was
different in the way that these guys are actually really talented
musicians working hard to get out there, and they even already have some
of the Nashvillian record industry types knocking on their doors. So go
ahead and listen to the music and look at the pictures. Try not to develop
a crush unless you are no older than 22. And keep an eye out for these
boys, because with the touring schedule they have coming up, you are sure
to see them in a town near you, soon.
