"Holoubek Studios began in 1962 when Verne Holoubek began airbrushing custom designs on garments. The idea that a person could make a statement with his or her clothing was born. Artwork on shirts became widely popular. In order to keep up with production demands, Verne was one of the first to develop the heat transfer. Soon the t-shirt became the focus of American fashion."
